School Fundraising

This Spring 2010, MCS has several NEW school fundraising activities currently underway:

  • Spring Online Auction - will start April 16th, 2010 and run for several weeks to allow time for bidding.  Donations needed - pass around our letter to any local business or consider donating your time or special skill to sell online!

  • Music Concert - this FREE fun social and cultural event will feature professional classical musicians playing for the benefit of MCS.  Invite all your friends in the community to join us Saturday, April 24th at St. Timothys Episcopal Church (almost across the street from MCS).
  • Original Works Art - This year the kids have completed mosaic patterns using self adhesive squares. This artwork will be reproduced on a variety of products which are available for purchase through the school.  Packets containing order forms, products gallery and sample magnets from the vendor will be sent home with the kids over the next few weeks.
  • Summer Camp Raffle - buy and sell tickets up through our Earth Day/Grandparents Day event on Friday, April 23rd.  The winner will be drawn at our Music Concert the following evening, and the MCS family that sells the most tickets receives 1 week of summer camp!  Tickets and more details coming soon.

Other ongoing ways to help MCS:

  • Link your Harris Teeter (ID# 5219) and Giant (ID# 0164) Grocery Cards to earn cash for MCS while you shop.
  • You can purchase a subscription to Tomorrow's Child, the Montessori magazine for parents.
