Tuition and Fees

Annual fees include:

  • Application fee: $75 for new students, $35 for returning students
  • Materials & building fee: $150 for 5-day morning students, $75 for 2 & 3 Day students, $175 for kindergarten students
  • Parent participation deposit: $300 for 5 day students and $150 for 2 & 3 day students.

The parent participation deposit is fully refundable at the end of the school year, provided you complete 15 hours of qualified volunteer work.

2010/2011 School Year Tuition Rates

Full school-year tuition varies by program and is payable in 1, 5 or 10 payment plans.  A 5% discount is offered with the one-payment plan.  A monthly processing fee of $15 applies to the ten-payment plan.

  • 5-day Primary (8:30 to 12:00) $7,500
  • 5-day Primary w/ extended care (8:30 to 2:45) .$8,950
  • 5-day Kindergarten (8:30 to 2:45) $8,950

For students enrolled in the Young Preschool Class there are also 2 or 3-day options in addition to the 5-day option.

  • 2-day (TH, F) Young Preschool (8:30 to 12:00) $4,500
  • 2-day (TH, F) Young Preschool w/ extended care (8:30 to 2:45) $5,370
  • 3-day (M,T,W) Young Preschool (8:30 to 12:00) $5,620
  • 3-day (M,T,W) Young Preschool w/ extended care (8:30 to 2:45) $6,710
  • 5-day Young Preschool (8:30 to 12:00) $7,500
  • 5-day Young Preschool w/ extended care (8:30 to 2:45) .$8,950
After care is available from 2:45 to 6 p.m. and is run at MCS by "Great Kids Club", an experienced program running summer camps and aftercare programs through out the local MD and VA suburbs. The aftercare program offers flexible scheduling options including 2-day, 3-day, and 5-day as well as hourly drop-in when available.

Discounts:

  • Sibling discount: 10% off tuition for second and subsequent children enrolled simultaneously (applies to lower tuition rate)
  • Single payment: 5% off tuition when paid in full by June 1st
  • Discounted Kindergarten Rates: apply to students that have completed two or three FULL school years at MCS

Only one discount available to each student.  All tuition payments are non-refundable.

Scholarship: MCS offers a needs-based scholarship program for qualified families.  Please contact the School Administrator for details about full or partial scholarships.
