Programs

Our classrooms are busy, productive places. Each child is allowed to move about freely and choose his/her own work, carrying it out to completion with great concentration and enthusiasm.  Our curriculum emphasizes the development of the whole child within a helpful, respectful, and cooperative community.  We help each child achieve his/her full potential by following these key premises of Montessori education:

  • Children are to be respected as individuals who differ from each other.
  • Children possess unusual sensitivity and mental powers for absorbing and learning from their environment.
  • The most important years of growth are the first six years of life when unconscious learning is gradually brought to the conscious level.

Young Preschool: (ages 2 1/2 to 4): 8:30 a.m to noon with Extended Day available until 2:45 p.m. Two, three, or five days a week.

Primary Mixed-age program: (ages 3 to 6): 8:30 a.m to noon five days a week. Acceptance into the Kindergarten program is based on several factors, including age and readiness of the child for the curriculum offered during the afternoon portion of the day.
